Evan {6 Months Old}

It has been so fun watching this little man grow up!  He is my very first "Baby's First Year Package" client so I get to see him every 3 months for pictures :)  Evan did a great job at his 6 month shoot, even though it seemed he was teething because of his rosy cheeks - he actually cut his first tooth only a few hours later!

I am trying to reduce the number of photos I post on my blog for the public because everywhere I read suggests to only post a few...well, I have been posting 20-25 per session!  Not only is this very time consuming for me, but it's just not necessary.  So, I am reducing slowly.  I got down to 15 for this session which is an improvement!  It's just so hard to pick!

I HAVE A WEBSITE!!!

I am so incredibly excited to finally have a REAL webstie - not just a blog, not just a Facebook Fan Page, but a WEBSITE.  Not only does this website display my work, provide information to clients and potential clients, but it also has a client viewing gallery and a shopping cart!!  I have my very own domain name and will be getting the email set up soon (with "kariannaphotography.com" as the email instead of the "gmail.com" that I am currently using).  How cool is that?!  I may be a nerd about it, but this is something I have wanted so bad since starting up.  I really think it will make things so much easier for me and my clients.  Visit the link at:

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

I didn't QUITE get these done by Valentine's Day, but better late than never.  These are some of my youngest boy's 11 month pictures...I cannot believe his one year pictures are in less than a month!  It's so difficult doing a Valentine's Day themed photo shoot with a boy - everything out there is SO girly, so I did my best!  This shoot lasted about 8 minutes and consisted of my toddler standing right in front of my camera and then eventually getting a timeout for many naughty behaviors, so needless to say, it was a stressful 8 minutes!  But I managed to get some good ones of the little man :)

New Name!

Okay, since I am still new I thought it was okay to do this...I changed the name of my photography business!  I was also rushed into it because I just found out tonight that if your Facebook fan page goes over 100 fans you cannot change the name of the page - I had 98 fans so had to move fast!  I have been debating this for quite some time.  I was never too pleased with the name I settled on - just using my first and last name is, well, boring to me.  I just could not come up with anything more clever when I started things up so I just...settled. I am now:




My name is Kari Ann...which I thought sounded too "hillbilly-ish" (if that makes sense, haha) to use as a business name.  One recent day I finally came up with Karianna - Anna being my grandmother's name who I was actually named after - perfect and staying true to my given name.

I am still going to be playing around with the logo for a bit and I have to figure out what to do with the hundreds of pictures I watermarked with "Kari Breker Photography".  This blog URL is my next problem...not sure how to change that without losing everything!  This process will take a while, but I am very happy with my decision.

Another exciting thing is I am working on a website!  I am SO excited about this and cannot wait to get it up and running.  It will have tons of information on it as well as a client gallery where prints can be ordered from!  Just thinking about it makes me get butterflies in my stomach because I just cannot wait!


 

Cameron {5 Days New}

This cute little guy was my youngest newborn client yet.  He was super sweet and wasn't too keen on sleeping as he would rather stay awake and enjoy the shoot instead ;)  We did get him sleeping for some of the shots, but the open eye pictures are wonderful to have too.  It was great to meet your family and hope to see you again as this little boy grows!





I have totally been on a vintage-y kick lately with editing...there is just something I love about this look.  I do give clients a whiter version to choose from as well.













He is so young, his umbilical cord is still attached!
