Layla - {7 Days Old} Colby - {2 Years Old}

Anyone who photographs newborns will probably say they are the toughest clients to shoot, but they are also a ton of fun - with each one I do I learn so much as I am still pretty new to them.

I feel so lucky to be friends with these guys.  The mother of this family and Colby were actually our first friends when we moved to Ann Arbor.  They welcomed their second child to their family, a perfect little girl named Layla - who was a great sport and slept quite well for us!

Like any toddler, it has been an adjustment for Colby to get used to his little sister.  During the shoot was actually the first time he touched her more than with just one finger...he actually kind of held her (with assistance of course).  Though we didn't get any of just Layla and Colby, it was a big deal for him to get as close as he did to her.  In time, he will grow to love having her around and he will shower her with hugs and kisses!

Stacey and Nate's E-session

I don't usually do engagement photos - not because I don't like them, but simply because I had no idea how to do them.  Posing and having unique ideas was my main fear, but I did lots and lots of homework before this shoot.  Stacey and Nate were such a fun and adorable couple.  They were playful and it was very obvious how much they love each other.  Thank you for having faith in me to shoot your session - I have now decided I have a new love for E-sessions!

Avery - {4 Years Old}

This little girl is so fun to shoot - not only is she completely adorable, but she is also just such a sweetheart.  You may recognize her from this newborn shoot I recently did.
